CNC machining is an advanced processing technology in today's machinery manufacturing, which is an automated processing method with high efficiency, high precision and high flexibility.

CNC machining technology is a kind of machining, but also abide by the machining cutting law, and the processing technology of ordinary machine tools is roughly the same. Because it is a kind of automatic processing that applies computer control technology to mechanical processing, it has the characteristics of high processing efficiency and high precision, and the processing technology has its own unique features, the process is more complicated, and the work step arrangement is more detailed and thorough.

CNC machining process includes tool selection, determination of cutting parameters and design of tool routing route. CNC machining technology is the foundation and core of CNC programming, only reasonable technology, can compile high efficiency and high-quality CNC programs. The criteria for measuring the quality of the NC program are: the least machining time, the smallest tool loss and the workpiece that produces the best results.

The CNC machining process is a part of the overall processing technology of the workpiece, or even a process. It must cooperate with other pre- and post-processes to finally meet the assembly requirements of the overall machine or mold, so that qualified parts can be processed.

CNC machining processes are generally divided into rough machining, medium coarse corner machining, semi-finishing and finishing steps.

Rough machining should try to use larger tools, and use a large amount of cutting volume to quickly cut off a large number of workpiece materials within the range of machine tool power or tool tolerance. In order to prevent the cutting vibration during roughing from loosening the workpiece, the meter should be checked in time after roughing, and the tool should be re-aligned if necessary. The light knife can be finished with a reference surface after roughing, so as to prepare it for later calibration checks. For workpieces with complex cavities, due to the use of larger tools for roughing, a large amount of margin remains in the corners, and it is necessary to use a smaller tool than the roughing for secondary roughing or corner clearing. In the case of a relatively large machining area, semi-finishing can be performed in order to reduce tool loss. In order to prevent overcut, sufficient margin must be left for each of the above steps, and the final finishing process is carried out. Under normal circumstances, try to inspect on the machine tool, remove it after passing the qualification, and then prepare the next piece for processing.
